Missha B.B. Cream Review and Samples
The low-down on BB cream – “BB” stands for blemish balm or beauty balm. Originally created to speed healing after laser treatments. BB cream became popular in Asia when celebrities started attributing the cream to their flawless skin. B.B. cream is a multi purpose product, including a moisturizer, sunscreen, concealer and foundation.
I have been hearing so much about B.B. creams that I needed to check it out for myself. I wanted a true B.B. cream that does it all. After much research I found the company Missha which is the only Asian brand BB cream that I found to be cruelty-free. I found this sampler and thought I would start here.
Let me say that I was so impressed. These creams were super moisturizing and creamy providing a lot of coverage while giving my skin a natural appearance. B.B. cream is like a tinted moisurizer with extra coverage. What surprised me was that it managed to conceal my skin concerns including my dark under-eye circles fairly well. It left a sheer luminous finish without being shiny, no powder needed!
Missha B.B. Boomer Brightening Moisturizing – It boosts the adherence and duration of B.B. cream and makes your skin look brighter and more radiant. I didn’t use this prior to applying the BB creams because I didn’t like the pearlized look to it. If I were to use this I would only apply it to my brow and cheekbones only.
Missha Signature Real Complete B.B. Cream – SPF 25 – no. 21 Light Pink Beige – Whitening, UV Blocking and Wrinkle Repairing
Missha Perfect Cover B.B. Cream – SPF 42 – no.23 Natural Beige – Whitening, UV Blocking and Wrinkle Repairing – I thought this color might be my match but when applied to my skin it left and ashy pink tone which was not complementary for me.
Missha Perfect Cover B.B. Cream – SPF 42 – no.31 Golden Beige – Whitening, UV Blocking, and Wrinkle Repairing.
Missha Perfect B.B. Deep Cleansing Oil – Contains botanical oils including Olive oil, Sunflower oil, Macadamia oil, jojoba oil, meadow form seed oil, grape seed oil, and tea tree oil. Smells very nice but have yet to try it because I have makeup removers that I swear by.
I had trouble matching my skin color but I found that by mixing no.21 and no.31 I found my perfect match. I took equal parts of the two and mixed them on the back of my hand. I then applied the mixture to clean skin. The product went on like a moisturizer and blended very well. You could use no.31 to add a tan to your face either by mixing more with your foundation or applying it to the areas where the sun would hit.
I am wearing NO.21 and NO. 31
Let me say that I did not pre-moisturize my skin. There is absolutely nothing on my face except for the B.B. Cream. I applied a dab of Posietint by Benefit to my lips and applied a bit of mascara only! I had a wonderful experience using these B.B. cream. I loved the look and feel it gave to my skin. I would definitely recommend getting into the B.B. cream craze. Link to product webpage.
I am not endorsing any of these products, they were purchased with my own money and my reviews are 100% pure and honest.
