MAC Haul – A paint pot, lipstick, blush, and a brush

MAC Haul

How to perk Taylor up on a rainy afternoon? Take her to a MAC counter!

I finally got some products I have been craving for some time now. I am very pleased with what I think are smart choices.

  MAC Matte Blush in Harmony

I am going to use as an alternate to my MAC Taupe contour powder, which I do love, but find that sometimes it leaves me looking a bit muddy. Harmony is a lovely warm nude pink that does a terrific job of contouring the face.

MAC Paint Pot in Painterly.

I got this paint pot to use as a base. It is great at concealing the lid area and priming it for eye shadow. It is completely crease-free! This is also a great base to create a mod look by lightening the area a bit.  I have always been a bit hesitant to purchase a paint pot because the ones I sample at my MAC counter are always dried out leaving me weary of the product. Nonetheless, I went ahead and purchased Painterly and it is so creamy and smoothe and applies perfectly. I’m just hoping it stays fresh.

MAC Satin Lipstick in Faux

This is a muted-mauve pink. It was sort of an impulse by. I wanted a little more color than the traditional nude lipsticks I wear but not too much. I love it!

Faux Swatch

MAC 209

I needed a new brush for my Bobbi Brown Long-wear Gel Eyeliner (simply the best gel liner out there). I love the way this brush applies my gel liner. It is far better than the angled edge one I was using, it make application super easy.

What do you think of my purchases? What is your experience with MAC paint pots? Please leave any thoughts or questions.. I appreciate it!

I love painterly, and as long as you replace the lid firmly you’ll be fine. I also use some of the cream shadows from bobbi brown as a base, and I just picked one from benefit. :)
