With pleasure, I bid January farewell. It’s long, cold nights are not something I will miss and I welcome the approaching warmer months. I have been introduced to some lovely products these past couple of weeks. Two samples have even found their way into my favorites post, both of which I will be purchasing full-sized versions of – a rarity if I do say so myself. Yay for samples!
Burberry Light Glow Blush in No.04 Peony – This blush has seen lots of wear this past month. The sheer color is perfect for an everyday subtle look. Peony is a gorgeous blue-based pink. (review)
Kahina Giving Beauty Argan Oil – This organic Argan Oil has been a savior to my skin. I apply it to my skin in evenings and mix it into my foundation. No complaints about dry skin since incorporating this beauty into my routine. (product website)
YSL Rouge Volupte Shine in #8 - Of course I had to include the new YSL lipstick in my favorites this month. Loving this pale-pink shade for every day. (review)
Becca Shimmering Perfector in Opal – I received this sample along with a Becca purchase I made in December. I mix a bit into my foundation for a natural-glowing finish. I am quite in love with the results and will definitely be picking up a full-sized.
W3LL People Universalist 2 - Another sample, this one I received in a monthly subscription beauty box. This highlighter has replaced my previous favorites. I apply it to the inner corner of my eyes, brow bones, cheekbones, and cupid’s bow. The look is naturally luminous.
Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner in Black Ink – This liner is long-lasting, always soft, and a dream to use. One of my go-tos for created a winged eyeliner look. Also great for beginners or for those with a shaky hand.
Japonesque HD Dual Sided Brush #110 – I love this brush for applying foundation. One side has natural bristles and the other has synthetic bristles. It gives me a perfect finish. (review soon)
What are some of your favorites this month?

Oh, I have been curious about W3ll products! I will have to give them another look in the future. And oh, gel eyeliners. I want to love them but they never stay in place for me! I haven’t tried Bobbi’s, but I suspect it will also travel on my lids.
Hi Laurie! W3LL has some lovely ingredients in the products. I very glad for this sample. I think BB is the best I’ve tried, I had transfer with Maybelline and MAC. Liquid liners are definitely best at staying put though
I absolutely adore my Kahina Argan Oil! I am curious what you will say about the W3ll products, they sound very interesting
Wonderful! The shimmer is so natural, I will review it soon with some comparison swatches. It is so lovely
I see Becca Opal and Bobbi Brown Black Ink, which I both own and love! I’m not too sure I’ll repurchase Black Ink, just because from what I remember my Maybelline pot was just as good. However, I do REALLY like my Forest Shimmer Ink and that’s something I can justify repurchasing if I run out
Great picks, Taylor! I’m also really happy that January is over. It’s been a busy busy month (and cold)!
I’m loving the Becca! I’m very impressed. I actually didn’t like the Maybelline pot personally, but I know people absolutely love it and its quite a big difference. BB does have a better color selection, hands down! The forest Shimmer is gorgeous, your definitely making me want to explore the colors further! Perhaps a shimmering plum
Yay for the end of January!!
I’ve been trying to figure out this Japonesque brush for a while, can’t wait to read your review. I find that trying to use only one side is the thing that messes me up. Have you tried the Josie Maran Argan Oil for comparison to the Kahina one?
Hi! The brush takes a lot of moving about and I buff it using the tip as well. I’m not familiar enough to the Josie Maran Oil to compare, I do love her Whipped Argan Oil Body cream though, it’s incredible!
My mom swears by the Bobbi Brown gel eyeliner! I really wanna try burberry makeup! Oh, the money haha
Burberry is wonderful for its natural appearance, which I’m sure you would love! A students salary is not Burberry friendly
BB liners are the best!
I would enjoy trying any of these favorites! I think I’ll do a “product of the month” post on Monday

I love a good favorites post!
I absolutely adore your blog.
I love all these products, esp the MAC brushes.
I used to have the 218 but sadly I lost it…

Thank you so much! This is a Japonesque brush.. I love MAC brushes too, especially the 217
Burberry blush–mmmm….purdy!!
I really want to try the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfectors–after I get Burberry’s Fresh Glow, I plan on getting Becca’s Moonstone for sure!
Haha, thanks
I always wanted to try the Fresh Glow, I’m sure Bueberry nailed it, I’m loving the brand recently. I highly reccomend the Perfectors, they’re very natural ..
I love the idea of mixing in a bit of the argan oil with your foundation, Taylor! I don’t really have dry skin but I love the sort of dewy/healthy look and am constantly trying to find the right balance of that without looking oily. I’ll have to try this out and see how it works, as oils seem to react well with my normal to slightly oily skin. Also, one day I WILL try that Becca illuminator!
Thanks Latoya! I think the Argan Oil would be great for any skin. It absorbs instantly, so while it hydrates it dosnt make me oily. I wish the Illuminator worked better for my skin
it’s so gorgeous!
great favorites, Taylor!
i really adore the burberry blush and the ysl RV shine!
i haven’t wanted to buy new cosmetics for a while (shocking, right?) but this post gives me some very live lemmings! ;p
Thanks Lena! I could use a break in my ever growing list of lemmings.
I love your January favorites! I love Peony too, the color looks flattering on me
Can’t wait to hear what you say about Japonesque brush!
Thank you
Peony is gorgeous, I really love the sheerness of it. It provides a lovely glow.
love Bobbi Brown liner, and am looking forward to the brush review!
