Makeup subscription services are a great way to dicover new products and brands. As someone who is a bit of a beauty addict, I love the idea of a sampling service. I have tried several and most recently I was lucky to be given the opportunity to sample the Beauty Box from Wantable.
Wantable is a subscription service that delivers four to six full-sized premium makeup products to your door each month for $36. Each box is valued at $80-$100. You may also choose to purchase one month for $40. Subscriptions can be cancelled at any time, no strings attached. Wantable also has a ‘Accessories Box’ for all you fashionistas, and most recently a ‘Intimates Box’ has been added to the selection.
What makes Wantable different?
Wantable is not a ‘one size fits all’ service. The Wantable team hand-selects each item based on your personal style. By answering a few questions, you create your profile, which helps to control what you would like to see each month in your beauty box. Some brands Wantable offers includes LAQA & Co., Cailyn Cosmetics, Manna Kadar, Lise Watier, Be A Bombshell and Face Stockholm.
For September, Wantable teamed up with makeup artist Jordan Liberty. I received 5 full-sized products and one sample size from the brands Lise Watier, Be A Bombshell Cosmetics and LAQA & CO. I was excited to discover new brands that are not readily available in the US. I was also interested to see a variation of different products. What was really fun was the element of surprise. I could hardly contain myself as I nearly tore open the box to see what goodies awaited me.
What I got:
Lise Watier Solo Eyeshadow in Carbon $18 (full-size)
Lise Watier Rouge Sublime Lipstick in Tartan $21 (full-size)
Be A Bombshell Blush in Raspberry Tart $16 (full-size)
Be A Bombshell Eye Shadow in Halo $14 (full-size)
LAQA & Co. Nail Polish in Blurple $11 (full-size)
Lise Watier Ombré Souffle Supréme (sample card)
Overall, I feel like my personal preferences were considered in this months box. I also like that the products feel on trend with the new upcoming season. Lise Watier was I brand I was excited to see and finally be able to sample. The Rouge Sublime lipstick has a gorgeous creamy texture and luxe packaging. I was also happy to have discovered the LAQA & CO. brand. The polish was a stunner with a high shine and opaque coverage in one coat. I wasn’t too keen on either products from the Be A Bombshell brand. While I admired both shades from a distance, the formula and packaging felt generally cheap and powdery.
(LAQA & CO. Blurple in all it’s glory)
Wantable is a great service for any beauty enthusiast or product junkie. The subscription service is a great gift that keeps on giving throughout the year!
