YSL Le Teint Touche Éclat Foundation

Le Teint Touche Éclat foundation infuses the magic light of YSL’s best-selling illuminater Touche Eclat. This foundation is said to “target shadowy areas and highlights the contours of the face. With buildable coverage and free of opaque fillers, this foundation’s perfecting texture evens the complexion and helps conceal imperfections, enhancing your skin’s natural beauty. Available in 17 shades with SPF19 broad spectrum UVA/UVB protection.”

While I am not a devoted fan of YSL Touche Eclat Radiance Pen, I did think that a foundation containing its illuminating technology held promise. “Touche Éclat” are two words that hold high expectations and I have to say I have been anticipating its debut. I have finally gotten my hands on a generous size sample in the color ‘Beige Dore 40’ for light to medium skin tones with honey beige undertones.

La Tient Touche Éclat  is incredibly silky and moist, allowing it to blend well into the skin without dragging. The coverage is light and about the next step up from my Nars Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer. The foundation is virtually undetectable on the skin, giving you a very natural and luminous appearance. You are provided with a glow from this foundation with its creaminess and in its sheer coverage alone. There is a luminescent quality to this foundation that remains even after the moisture provided to skin is powdered down. It is no presence of any kind of shimmer that creates this.

The Touche Éclat foundation, I am sure, will give dull skin a boost with a more healthy appearance. The finish created is very similar to The Nars Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer in my opinion, but with slightly more coverage. It is not a life changer, if your expectations were set that high, but a very beautiful foundation that I would undoubtedly recommend. Although, if your skin is oily it might not be the best option for you. I liked this foundation very much and do prefer it to YSL Teint Radiance which was my previous foundation. Again, this formula is light and I do suggest testing this product to see is the coverage is ample enough to meet your needs.

  1. I ordered mine on line kinda nervous that the shade might not match… But I’m excited for this product!!!! I really didn’t care for naked skin foundation.. Too matte… I prefer luminous and dewy look! So hope this foundation works for me as well!!!! Btw, ysl foundation absolutely looks great on you!!!

  2. I’m desperate to try this foundation, only with some slight trepidation because I have a bit of an oily t-zone. I’m wondering if it will be okay with a good primer and setting powder. I need to get my hands on a sample asap to try it out. Looks wonderful on you!

  3. I’m *sort of* in the market for a new foundation – in-between shades as I’m not as dark as I was at the height of summer but not so light as my late spring shade. I’ve been mixing the two, but neither are hydrating which is what I need for the cooler months. I want to get the NARS TM…but maybe this is a better option? Thoughts? I don’t need a TON of coverage.

  4. Hmmm, I am so curious about this foundation and will most def be going in to pick up a sample. By the sound of your review, I’m thinking it may be similiar to Chanel’s Aqua Vita Lumiere which is “one of” my HG foundations, especially for a light natural look with good coverage. I have tried the Naked foundation, and I actually did like it quite a bit. It isn’t too matte, although it will start off that way but then settles into your skin. The sample I got was a bit too yellow for me, so when I go back into for the YSL, I’ll have to pick another Naked sample in a more pink undertone

  5. Love your overall look! Simple and yet refreshing. Meanwhile, though I have been wearing make-up for years now, I still cannot quite achieve the perfect eyeliner look – I especially like the subtle wing-eyed look you got there. Really pretty! Would you be so kind as to share when does the “wing” end? Because everytime it’s either too long and in turn made me sleepier than I should or too short making my eyes look less-than-wide-eyed…

    For your help please, thanks!!!!!

    1. Hi Evie! Thanks so much. I look a bit like a bobble head here 🙂 with liner is all about personal preference. I start mid way and then apply outwards and aiming upwards towards the edge of my eyebrow, and up about a quarter of an inch beyond my eye. I aim for wider-set almond shape eyes. Drawing a thicker line will make your eyes appear more round. The longer the line extends the more “sleepy” the look. Experiment with different looks the see what compliments you best. I hope that helped 🙂

  6. Hi may I know how do you like the YSL touche éclat concealer? I’m a guy and I’m in search for a good concealer for my undereyes. It’s getting worse. After looking at this post I might want to get the foundation instead but is it noticeable? 🙂 Your skin is flawless!

    1. Hi Qim! Thank you 🙂
The Touche Éclat is not technically what I would consider a concealer. Most people use it to bring out and highlight to areas of the face. I apply it onto the deepest part of my eyes where the ‘bags’ and darkness begins. It is very natural but not a game changer for dark circles however it would be a good option for a natural effect as it blends beautifully with the skin. The foundation is very natural, but does need to be powdered to remove shine. If you looking for all over color a BB cream, or tinted moisturizer might be a great option instead. Foundation requires more attention and if I know guys… Origins Vitazing might be a great option for you paired along with a creamy concealer. I hope that helps? Reach out any time!

  7. hi i really want to get this foundation but i cant make up my mind between ysl touche eclat and chanel vitalumiere aqua. have you tried the chanel one? if you did can you tell me which one you prefer

    1. Hello. I’m sorry, I haven’t tried the Vitalumiere Aqua. Since foundation wears so different on everyone, if possible you should get a sample and try them both and see how they react with your skin. I’m sorry I couldn’t offer any other help.

  8. Hi! This foundation looks beautiful on you! I know you said you are not wearing powder here but would you mind sharing which powder(s) you like the best with this foundation? Thank you so much! ox!
