OCC Pro’s Picks Lip Tar Set at Sephora

The very popular cult-fave Lip Tars have recently been released at Sephora, online and in store. Now that they are so easily available I do recommend popping in and giving them a try. Like many others, I  have developed a love for these unique Lip Tars from Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics, after picking up Queen. The Lip Tars have a on-of-a-kind formula that is a must-try. This lip product can be worn alone or mixed together. For a ‘beauty enthusiast’ like me, you could only imagine the fun I had after recently picking up this set.  My clones and I had a bit of fun putting this post together.

The Pro picks Lip Tar Set at sephora comes with a lip brush and 5  lip tars including:

Grandma – a classic coral

Melange – terracotta neutral

Pretty Boy – super-rich fuchsia

Stalker – true pin-up blue-red

Vintage – deep, dark burgundy

The Pro’ Picks collection of five lip Tars had a great selection of shades. It is a great place to start to discover new shades and to have a go at mixing. I only would have been more pleased had they included a pale /nude shade (such as Hush, or Interlace) to better customize the colors to my personal tastes, as well as to provide greater variety.  The brush included wasn’t the softest nor was it the easiest to use. I highly suggest to be neat and to keep a clean workspace when using these. They are very hard to clean off clothing and surfaces, so make sure you dont smudge.

Grandma was a bit neon for my taste (the name eludes me). I would usually prefer to tone it down with a lighter, shimmery gloss. Melange was one of my favorite shades, I have been quite loving peach-tinged hues as of recently. Pretty Boy was a gorgeous fuchsia that has a ton of impact (definitely for the pink-lovers). Stalker was a stunning blue-red. I don’t often wear reds so it was very fun to play around with. The blue tones in this shade makes teeth appear whiter, so much so I couldn’t stop smiling. Vintage is a what I personally describe as a blood-red. It is deep and rich and truly stunning.

  16. I agree with you. I wish they would have included a nude or pinky nude. That would have been more versatile in my opinion.
