Chanel Azure #657 Nail Polish: L’Ete Papillon de Chanel Collection (review and swatches)

Chanel has released three nail polish shades in their new Summer Collection, L’Ete Papillon de Chanel. Azure instantly captivated my attention in promo images and I ultimately stalked its online release. Chanel must have a hand at magic in creating their polishes, Azure is exquisite and transformative.

Azure is the shade compared to the sky on a clear summer’s day…

Azure is a complex shade with many dimensions. It is a metallic duo-chrome shade that transitions from a royal blue to an aqua green. In sunlight and bright artificial light, Azure’s micro-shimmering particles sparkle with great intensity. No matter what the light Azure is incredibly vibrant and will demand a lot of attention.

Azure cover’s in one coat, although I would recommend two for extra vibrancy. The formula is a dream to apply and perhaps for its metallic properties, it lasts a bit longer than traditional Chanel Polishes.

Chanel Azure is a must for your collection and a true standout this summer!

This Limited Edition shade is $27 (chanel.com)

Thank you so much for the gorgeous swatch pictures! It’s everything that I hoped for, love the slight interesting duo chrome effect and the colour is just right on!

  2. Sunny says:

Ahhh this is definitely the one out of the three that I like the most ❤ MUST HAVE (along with Taboo which is also coming out here in May)!

    • Me too! I went bananas as soon as it was released online, in my house in 3 days! Haha. Taboo looks gorgeous, but as I am seeing in swatches, the shade in the bottle isn’t translating as well to the nails. Stunning shade nonetheless.

  3. Tiffany says:

This color is GORGEOUS! It reminds me of mermaids 🙂

  4. what a lovely tint for Summer!!reminds me of my favorite crayon – Cerulean ❤

  16. Latoya says:

I just did my mani in this, and I’m actually surprized at how much I like it. I know, I just bought it, right? – you’d think I’d buy it because I love it! – but I bought it because I wanted to give metallic teal another shot, as it’s typically not my thing. But of course, who else but Chanel to make it totally awesome 😀 It looks especially amazing on you Taylor!

  17. Argh this is SO GORGEOUS! I must have.
