Lorac PRO To Go Palette – Swatches & Review

Lorac recently released a new palette from the Pro Series line of professional cosmetics called the PRO To Go palette, exclusive to Sephora. The PRO To Go is a combination eye and cheek palette, including six shadows, two blushes and one bronzer. If you are familiar with the original PRO Palette (see me rave here), then you will know that the texture and formula of these shadows are perfection and I can say the same for the blushes. Lorac has created another must-have palette in their new PRO To Go!

photo 1-6The PRO To Go Palette features a flip-open lid on both the top and bottom of the palette that secures with a magnetic closure. The top portion contains your shadows, opposite a mirror and the bottom features your blushes and bronzer. The palette also opens in the center to reveal both sides as it lays flat. I personally love the innovative packaging that folds up to a travel-friendly 4.2 x 3.5 x 1 inches.

The PRO To Go can easily take you from day-to-night with a variety of looks. Along with a lipstick, base and mascara this palette is all you need to take on your travel getaways. Two brushes are also included in the palette. The first is a shadow brush which is quite firm and doesn’t do much for blending. The second is an angled liner brush which is surprisingly suitable for creating a neat and precise line.

The Eyes

Pearl – champagne shimmer

Shell – cream shimmer

Chai – bronze shimmer

Cafe – matte warm medium-brown with a small amount of silver shimmer

Mink – a dark grey taupe with eggplant

Black – matte black

I can easily say that the six shadows in the PRO To Go palette are all exceptional. Both Pearl and Shell are great highlighting shades, while Pearl contains a greater amount of shimmer. Chai is an exquisite metallic bronze that is incredibly rich in pigment. One swipe will provide you with the intensity as seen in the above swatch. Café is a perfect crease color for a natural look with a buttery smooth texture. I am a big fan of the warm tones that it contains. Mink is the addition that stole my heart and forgive my swatch, which can’t quite capture its true beauty. Mink is a dark, shimmery grey-taupe with eggplant. Black is richly pigmented and matte, perfectly suited to create a defined line.

The Cheeks

 Bronze – matte medium bronze

Pink – matte bright cool-toned pink

Coral – peachy/pink with gold shimmer

The bronzer is mid-toned and rich in pigment. The texture is incredibly silky, with an almost creamy quality that mimics the skin’s natural texture. It builds well for greater intensity and should suit a wide range of skin tones. The Pink blush is cool-toned and bright. It doesn’t have the same “creamy” quality as the bronzer, though is very silky and soft. The blush in Coral is a ‘face brightening’ peachy-pink with gold shimmer. Compared to Nars Orgasm, Coral is brighter, more pink with a similar shimmery gold finish.

This looks perfect for basic looks and every day beauty! I still haven’t really tried many LORAC things. I still want the Pro Artist Palette!

  8. Sunny says:

Oh wow! This one looks GREAT! I like how versatile it is. You can do SO many looks with it! Particularly enjoy the one cooler and one warmer blush combo. They’ll go with a lot of lip shades!

  9. What a gorgeous selection of shades. Cafe and Chai especially are completely stunning!

  11. Tianna says:

lovely! Chai & Cafe in the Lorac palette look amazing!

  12. I’ve actually never tried anything from Lorac but this seems like it could be a great palette to start with! I love that the highlighter shadows are larger – I always seem to hit pan on those first! And the colors and such a versatile mix!

  13. Such a clever palette!! And perfect for on the go! I haven’t tried their original Pro Palette but I actually prefer this one as it seems more versatile for a regular makeup user like me. The eyeshadows are beautiful yet I think the blushes are a bit underwhelming. A bit more neutral in the blushes would make them more sophisticated, but again it’s just me. Great post Taylor!

  14. VanityRouge says:

This palette looks gorgeous! I had always meant to purchase the Pro Palette, but this one looks amazing as well! I love that they included two blush shades to choose from, and Chai looks so beautiful! I will definitely have to take a look at both of the Pro palettes at Sephora next!

  15. Latoya says:

What a fantastic palette! I love that there are three distinct blush colors that you can utilize. This is the ultimate travel palette 🙂
