The Detox Exfoliating Mask from Osmia Organics

Hurry up, grab a pen, and write down O-S-M-I-A O-R-G-A-N-I-C-S, it’s a name your going to want to remember. Osmia Organics is a skin care brand that is hand-crafted using all natural and organic ingredients. The founder, Sarah Villafranco traded in her career in emergency medicine to start-up Osmia. The brand is quickly becoming a personal favorite, so do expect to be reading much more about their products here.

Today I’m very excited to talk to you about one of my absolute favorite products from the line. It is not only a favorite from the line, but one of my all-time favorite skin care products. I realize that is a big claim, but this mask is a game-changer. This one product alone has changed the way I view facial masks and the incredible impact they can actually have on your skin. Since introducing the Detox Exfoliating Mask into my skin care routine, I have actually stopped seeing my facialist regularly.

I’ve mentioned the Detox Mask before in a review post I did, along with Protein Exfoliating Mask (another gem that I will talk about at another time). Since writing that post, I have since purchased a full-sized product and am on my way to purchasing my second. I wanted to write about the Detox Mask again in its own post, giving it the love and raves it deserves.

The Detox Exfoliating Mask is a multitasking powdered mask/exfoliator. It works to deeply cleanse pores, as well as to provide both a chemical and physical exfoliation. Its composed of three kinds of purifying clays and also includes raw cacoa, manuka honey, and activated charcoal. The mask comes along with a small ceramic bowl and spatula where you mix the powder along with water to create a paste. Its actually quite fun mixing up the ingredients, playing chemist for a moment. Another recommendation is to mix the powder along with Manuka Honey for extra little kick.

As the Detox Mask works its magic, you will feel some tingling as it tightens. If a tightening mask isn’t your thing, it is suggested that you re-moisten the mask as it starts to harden. So, as the mask begins to tighten you will see the spots on your face where the mask has pulled all the funk and gunk from your pores, a very satisfying visual. I personally struggled with blackheads along with large pores. Since using this mask they have almost all disappeared, while pores appear smaller.

After the mask is removed my skin feels incredible clean, plumped, radiant and glowing. It won’t leave your skin feeling dry, but quite the opposite. Any previous dryness and visually lackluster skin is renewed. I feel like I have a new face and look like I just had the best facial of my life. The Detox Exfoliating Mask has become a staple product in my routine. I recommend to everyone and anyone any chance I get.

The Osmia Organics Detox Exfoliating Mask is $50 and available at osmiaorganics.com

    1. I purchased them both as well, since I sampled them. Osmia is a brand that just consistently wow’s me! I highly reccomend them both and have trouble choosing between the two. The line is revolutionary! I need Osmia Rehab, lol. xoxo

  1. Hey Taylor, wow it is a great idea to mix this with Manuka honey! I really need to look around and find myself some Manuka honey one of these days. Time to pay the organic shop a visit (they also have these organic dried apricot that I like LOL)!

  2. ah, so this is another reason that you have such glowing skin, Taylor!
i wish i was more diligent to whip up something like this. i could barely put on a pre-moistend sheet mask..lol
but seriously, this sounds amazing. i really want to try it! 🙂

  3. Ok, I’ve just added this to my Wish List. How could I not after this review?! I’m intrigued by Osmia’s facial bar soaps, too. I adore bar soaps for body (I just can’t get on the body wash train) and would love to find a facial cleanser in bar soap form. I find they travel better! 🙂 Great review, T-Suga! 😉

  4. I’m so intrigued!! I love that it comes with the ceramic bowl/spatula – so convenient! Curious if you’ve tried May Lindstrom’s problem solver and can compare? It’s been my go-to mask lately but this sounds pretty awesome as well 🙂

  5. This looks like so much fun, and like it really works. Thank you for the review! I love when masks show you all the funk they are pulling out of your skin, its gross but fun all at the same time.
