Kahina Giving Beauty Prickly Pear Seed Oil*

Kahina is a brand that consistently amazes me with each and every product release. I refer to Kahina as a well trusted brand, that produces high quality, eco conscious ingredients, that well… work! I’ve recently discovered their Prickly Pear Seed Oil, and this gem is no exception.

Prickly pear seed oil (also referred to as barbary fig seed oil and prickly cactus oil) contains high concentrations of tocopherols, betalaines (powerful antioxidants), amino acids, Vitamin K, and is brimming with essential fatty acids (approximately 83%). The oil has been shown to soften skin, restore elasticity, neutralize free radicals and brighten under eye circles. This resilient desert cactus has been used for years in the beauty rituals of local desert dwellers to ward of the effects of dry conditions.

On a personal note, Kahina Prickly Pear Seed Oil has given me jaw dropping results. That was my reaction after just a few weeks of use. If you search the archives on MLD, you won’t hear mention of any eye cream. This is because, while I have tried many and liked some, none have been effective at lightening my pesky dark under-eye circles. So, for a my lucite dreams first, I’m full-heartedly recommending Kahina’s Prickly Pear Seed Oil as a miracle under-eye treatment. My under eye area has significantly lightened, allowing my to lighten up my concealer. Mind. Blown.

As an overall face moisturizer, this ‘one ingredient wonder’ is an effective hydrator. The texture is a bit heavier than their Argan Oil, though not greasy in any sense. It absorbs quickly and significantly softens skins texture. Overall, my complexion seems brighter and more even-toned.

Kahina Prickly Pear Seed Oil $38 for 10ML, $150 for 20ML

  1. OOO now I am majorly intrigued! I’ve always been meaning to try the brand, but I haven’t yet! Once I use up some of the oils I have, I’ll definitely look into it. So glad to hear this has lightened your dark circles!

  2. I’ve fallen in love with prickly pear seed oil ever since I tried Kenza International Beauty’s one. My skin absolutely loved this oil and it was a sad day indeed when I finished my sample. Kahina’s looks lovely too and I will certainly be looking into this oil again. Great post! Xx
