5 things this week…

On the Desk – Some new releases from Captain Blankenship have landed at MLD headquarters. I can already say that I am over the moon for the Petal Gentle Flower Face Mask and the Mermaid Detox Face Mask, which is incredibly powerful! One treatment of the Mermaid Mask left my skin significantly smoother, soft and dewy.

Covering the Bases – I recently picked up the Pacifica Ultra CC Cream on whim at my local Whole Foods. This has been my go-to for the past few weeks. It’s a hydrating, light base with a luminous finish and an SPF 17 that I have been thoroughly enjoying. The coverage and finish are comparable to Nars Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer at a fraction of the cost.

Protect – After sampling a trial size of EVOLh Smartstart Leave-in Conditioner with great results, I went ahead a purchased a full-size at Beauteabar. This leave-in conditioner serves brilliantly as a heat-protectant and is a beach bag essential to protect the hair.

Currently Reading – My love for Ayurveda led me to purchase my current beach read, Absolute Beauty by Pratima Raichur.

Subscription Addiction – When I heard that Mahalo Skin Care would be making an appearance in Spa Heroes latest subscription box, I instantly subscribed. Mahalo is a brand that I have been wanting to try our for some time. Spa Heroes is an excellent service that delivers an expert selection of natural skin care to your door for $39 a month. Each box features one full-sized product and a mini. This months selection featured the Pele Mask (valued at $64) and a new product release from Mahalo, a hair and body oil with a golden shimmer called Vacation Glow. The fragrance is delightful!

  1. YAY! I’m so happy that you’re enjoying your Spa Heroes subscription. Plus I love your summer reading. Last week, I met Pratima Raichur in person for a consultation and received the book too. My friend makes her skin care recipes all the time! She is full of wisdom and excellent advice. XO

  2. So many good products in one post! I was curious about the Evolvh leave-in conditioner. I use their shampoo and conditioner sometimes and love the scent and I was actually on the hunt for a good heat protector! Does it weigh your hair down at all? Xo Molly

    1. Hey girl. I am now curious about the shampoo and conditioner! The leave-in is wonderful! It didn’t way hair down at all! I actually use it twice, before blow drying and again if I’m using a flat iron. It makes hair silky and smooth. Love it!
