The Art of Oil Cleansing with Captain Blankenship Blue Chamomile & Lemon Oil-Based Cleanser & Makeup Remover*

Indie beauty brand favorite, Captain Blankenship sets sail in the lush lands of the Hudson River Valley, creating highly effective beauty products from all natural, organic and wildcrafted ingredients. My love affair for Captain Blankenship’s products began in 2014 and, with great momentum, continues to grow along with the brand’s collection. This past Spring the Captain debuted some new products, including two new masks (rave reviews forthcoming) and the Blue Chamomile & Lemon Oil-Based Cleanser & Makeup Remover*.

Using an oil-based cleanser is one of the most effective ways to deeply cleanse the skin, while leaving it clearer, more balanced and generously hydrated. It’s a necessary step towards achieving a radiant complexion. Captain Blankenship’s Blue Chamomile & Lemon Oil Cleanser is one impressive option for all skin types, and can serve double-duty as a face and eye oil. It contains a powerful combination of oils that cleanse deeply and effectively, with additional Essential Oils to calm and soothe the skin.

Massage the oil onto dry skin, using circular motions, and remove with a warm washcloth. I take the time at the end of the day to incorporate a little facial massage while using this cleanser, as I bask in its delightfully uplifting citrus aroma. While remaining gentle, it works hard at removing all traces of the day’s makeup, even stubborn waterproof mascara. After use, my skin is left feeling well-cleansed and highly nourished, with a healthy rosy glow.

Ingredients: Organic Sunflower Oil infused with Organic Cornflower, Organic Camellia Seed Oil, Organic Sweet Almond Oil, Organic Jojoba Oil, Non-GMO Vitamin E, Wildharvested Blue Chamomile Essential Oil, Organic Lemon Essential Oil, Organic Lavender Essential Oil & Organic Rosemary Antioxidant

  1. When I saw that you reviewed this I was going to recommend facial massage, but I see you’re already on it! I love oil cleansers, especially since I use exclusively waterproof mascara in combination with the fact that my skin has become ultra dry after I finished up Accutane. Great review!

    1. I love a good face massage! I have very dry skin as well, I’m glad oil cleanser are helping! I used a “spa water” to remove makup when I was out of town and couldn’t believe how drying it was! I also very much revcomend Manuka Honey afterwards for extra hydration and to combat acne. xxoo
