Forager Botanicals Fragrances and Body Oils

Forager Botanicals’ line of all-natural beauty products and fragrances are all luxe with none of the nasties. When brand proprietor, Casey Coyle, found herself overwhelmed by the offensive scents of synthetic ingredients in mainstream perfume (while pregnant with her daughter) Forager Botanicals was thus born. Handcrafted in small batches in Brooklyn, NY, Forager Botanicals harnesses all the beauty and power of nature in their products. This divinely crafted line is a sure stand-out and a must know for the natural and non-toxic aficionado, or really any beauty lover.

Many of todays mainstream fragrances and beauty products are scented with synthetic chemical compounds. There is little known about what effects these chemicals may have on your body. That’s why all of Forager Botanical perfumes are 100% natural. We use only natural, organic and wildcrafted essential oils in all of our products. Our beautifully crafted fragrances are designed to closely embody the scents that mother nature has bestowed on us. We use only the finest ingredients and oils to create fragrances that are completely natural yet truly luxurious.

Graydon’s The Green Cream is like ‘salad for your skin’

What a salad does for your body, Graydon’s The Green Cream does for your face. Deemed by this Canadian born brand as ‘salad for your skin‘, this all natural, nutrient-rich face cream hydrates skin like a champ.

Graydon-The-Green-Cream

The Green Cream is a lightweight moisturizer that absorbs quickly and nourishes deeply. With it’s lightweight texture, it’s the perfect cream for the warmer weather months. While it is suitable for all skin types, it generously hydrates even my (sometimes very) dry skin. It contains an infusion of broccoli, avocado, jojoba, coconut and olive oils, along with aloe vera juice, to provide powerful antioxidant and inflammatory protection against free radicals. It also contains chlorophyll, which lends the cream a pale green hue and additionally aids in detoxification. An essential oil blend parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme soothes skin and works to stimulate the lymphatic system, while giving the cream a fresh peppermint scent. A little off-putting at first ill admit, but nonetheless refreshing.

The Green Cream is a fabulous moisturizer for both day and night. It wears well under makeup and hydrates skin all day. It leaves my skin feeling plumped, hydrated and glowing. It also comes at a fabulous value.

The lovely Canadian online shop Greenaby, graciously introduced me to this delectable cream. Greenaby carries a range of covetable Canadian skin care lines including, Graydon, Helena Lane, Belmondo, and Jordan River Soapworks, all of which received notable mentions in a recent blog post by Kristen Arnet’s Green Beauty Team blog.

Leahlani Skincare Encapsulates the Spirit and Soul of Hawaii

Leahlani Skincare encapsulates the spirit and soul of Hawaii in their line of all natural and organic skin care. Each product is hand-crafted from locally sourced ingredients and infused with the scents and flavors of Hawaii. Creator and aesthetician, Leah Klasovsky, created her natural line of skin care to personally treat her own skin concerns. After receiving astounding results from her own creations, Leahlani Skincare was thus born.

“The intention that I put into my line is that you will truly fall in love with your skincare ritual, that you begin and end your day with a little aloha and the best of intentions.” – Leah Klasovsky

Leahlani-Skincare-Coco-Infusion

In the Mahana Organic Coco Infusion*, pure unrefined coconut oil, cold pressed organic macadamia oil , kukui nut oil, and sea buckthorn oil are combined to create this multi-tasking head-to-toe body moisturizer. This amped up coconut oil infusion is rich in fatty acids and antioxidants, and contains Leahlani’s signature ‘Mahana’ fragrance (a blend of coconut cream and vanilla). Simply apply it anywhere moisture is needed and bask in its tropical essence. Use it on the hair as an overnight mask, pre-shampoo treatment, or before styling to tame frizz and deeply condition. Apply to legs in the shower to protect your skin from shaving, and afterwards onto damp skin as a body moisturizer. The Infusion is a beach-bag essential to nourish skin and hair, before and after sun exposure.

Leahlani-Skincare-Perfume-Oils

In addition to skin care, Leahlani offers a line of exotic fragrances, each blended in an organic jojoba oil base. With five enticing perfume oil offerings, it may be hard to choose just one. The perfume oils come packaged in a glass bottle and features a rollerball application. A little goes a long way, and the fragrances linger all day. Leah’s favorite application method is to apply the oil to palms, and then to rake your fingers to your hair.

Pua Lei* is a gorgeous blend of the Hawaiian puakenikeni flower (popularly used in the traditional Hawaiian Lei) and tuberose. The combination is a sweet, clean and soft floral fragrance, that invokes blissful memories of sunshine and summer. It reminds me of my first true fragrance love, Pure Grace from Philosophy.

Mahana*, as featured in the Coco Infusion, is the pure essence of a tropical vacation. The coconut and vanilla fragrance combination will surely transport to the beach.

Dreamy Picks: March

Dreamy-Picks-March-2015-2

  • Lina Hanson recently debuted her Satori Perfume Oil, as I reviewed here. This blend of warm vanilla, sandalwood, yuzu and ginger is utterly intoxicating, and an easy stand-out amid my favorites for the month.
  • Au Naturale’s Lipstick in Innocence has been my daily go-to since I first got my hands on it. It’s the perfect soft pink and has a balmy texture. I’m nearly close to finishing it, which is something I’ve only done once before. If your curious as to what that lipstick was, it was MAC Bubbles. I was 16 and had a white, shimmery pout and I loved it.
  • Jane Iredale’s Lip Definers are deliciously creamy, a favorite formula for sure. The shade Spice is the perfect pinky-nude, that is just a touch deeper than my natural lip color. It pairs brilliantly with Au Naturale Innocence.
  • Kari Gran Lip Whips are a divine treat for your pout. The shade Radiance is a beautiful glossy pink, that is perfect on it own, or layered over any lip shade. (review)
  • Prickly Pear Seed Oil is having moment. I am unequivocally a devout fan of this precious wonder oil (review). I apply Kahina’s Pricky Pear Seed Oil to my eye area, both day and night. The results have been nothing short of a miracle. My under eye area has significantly lightened, so much so, that I have been able to switch up my under-eye concealer to one that offers less coverage. Which leads me to…
  • Though not nearly short on coverage, the RMS “Un” Cover Up is a brilliant under-eye concealer. It’s no secret, as this product is highly coveted by the industry elites. It covers, yet offers an undetectable finish ‘goals’. I do like to set the ‘Un” Cover Up with the RMS “Un” Powder, as the formula is quite creamy. (review)
  • Speaking of “undetectable finishes”, I introduce you to the ‘mother’. The Gressa Minimalist Serum Foundation is one ingenious formula. Forget that it’s completely natural, forget that it is actually good for your skin. This formula trumps all serum foundations on the market today, be it ‘clean’ or not. Two to three drops is all that is needed. It glides across your face with no effort at all, leaving behind the most natural coverage. I am currently wearing a mix of shades 3 and 4.
  • Kumari Luxury Sandalwood and Magnolia Body Oil makes me feel as though I’m spoiling myself on the regular. I am smitten with the fragrance of this oil, and of course I adore how it nourishes my skin. (review)
  • I have recently posted about the Imbibe Pearl Essence Cleansing Mineral Treatment. This  powdered cleanser effectively washes away impurities in the most gentlest way. I’ve been adding this versatile treatment powder into my shampoo, as recommended, with excellent results. It has been helping to normalize my finicky scalp.
  • The Jurlique Wrinkle Sofening Cream is an excellent moisturizer for dry skin. I’m not certain why I haven’t shared this product yet, though I feel a review is certainly in order. This is my second tube and a go-to for when I’m in need of extra moisture. In considering the recent weather conditions here in New York, I’ve been reaching for this one regularly.
